    Hey guys

I posted this in the main CD->DVD thread, but it looks like no one's really posting in there any more. I apologize if I've broken some cardinal rule (I did read the FAQ and don't think so, but...) in re-posting this in a new thread:

    I'm running Free McBoot 1.8 on a fat PS2 30001 NTSC.
I've successfully booted several DVD-R backups and everything seems to running perfectly on the console.

Now I tried to apply the CD->DVD tutorial on my ISO of Crazy Taxi... followed the directions step by step (DVD Scan, 1.5G z.z dummy file, ESR patch, etc) and burned it on a DVD-R. ESR recognizes it, but when I go to launch CD/DVD, the screen freezes on a pink/magenta color.

    Any ideas what went wrong?

    Thanks! :-)

I get a similar error, the Acclaim/Disclaimer screen pops up too fast (before esr finishes changing colors) and it stays there.
I used a 2gb dummy file to make my iso.
I have a first gen slim ps2 (model number got scrapped off, bought it at a police auction), FMCB 1.8 and ESR r9b.
I've also tried booting with swap magic with the same result.

I can get the game working using USBadvance but it loads very slowly and that is slightly annoying to say the least.

Get the ESR GUI Test 2 from the release thread and give it a try, enabling/disabling the various options.

I have not tried this game, as I own a retail copy for Dreamcast, so beyond that suggestion I cannot help any further.
