The majority of all IDE PATA drives will work well with a PS2, which is supposed to handle sizes up to 2TB (which are impossible to find as PATA anyway).

Some people have managed to modify their Network Adapters to make them fit such HDDs, but I think it is better to buy some other brand where that problem should not exist. (I never heard of it happening with any other brand than WD.)

you could get a WD drive but you will to physically mod the NA (network adapter) for the IDE drive interface to fit right. going this route will definitely ask of you to spend time doing this mod.
i would just buy an IDE drive and either seagate or maxtor have a higher rate of compatibility with the PS2 NA.
