Backup working on a v3 but not a slim ?

Hi !
I'm asking this question for a member of a french forum that don't speak english well enough. He's having a problem with Crash Bandicoot : Cortex's revenge. It's a cd game converted to dvd then patched with esr. The tricky part is, his backup did work on his v3 console and can't seem to boot on hid slim (70004, pink screen). The slim ps2 does recognize the disc as a dvd-video in the browser.

Is there a solution ?

Not sure,... but I think it can´t see the difference, between DVD-Video-Disc and ESR-Disc on his Slim.
The +NSR-Sector is, what makes the difference and it maybe can not find/read it.

Try using another version of ESR.

I had a similar problem with Midway Arcade Treasures 3, it worked fine on my sons slim PS2 with ESR 9b , but not on a friends fat model. So i put version 6b on his memory card and it works fine with that one.
