About ESR, Swap Magic and a 90004 9C PS2
About ESR, Swap Magic and a 90004 9C PS2 –
I am a new user (in this forum and of the modding scene).
I have a 90004 9C system that as you all know can only be made to boot backups trough a modchip or swapmagic and I use the following method to boot my backups:
I have FreeMcboot installed on my MC that has the ESR module.
1. I start the console with the swapmagic disk in it that starts freeMcboot from the MC
2. I replace the swamagic disk with the burned backup and start ESR that starts the game.
So far so good, everything works as it should. My problem is that when I want to start another game or I have to reset the one I am playing I need to redo the whole procedure. I am concerned about the wear and tear on the swapdisk and the console itself. Is there another way I can reset the game so I can get back to the FreeMcboot menu without using the swapdisk?
You can from within UlaunchElf create on your MemoryCard Folder BOOT.
Place in folder BOOT----OPL renamed to BOOT.ELF
Configure OPL to have in APPS tab possibility to launch any app you have on MemoryCard.
Each time you launch console with Modchip---Hold on your gamepad button R1 ----It will launch in DEV1 mode OPL.
So you do not need to run SwapMagic. Just hold R1 everytime you boot. simple...

Or if you are using OPL .9.1 then just config IGR for the correct path on mc
example mine is mc1:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
That is uLE on mc1 path and is actually MC 2 slot

OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be
