i dont think anybody has managed to convert it to dvd yet. i tried a couple of times but only wasted dvd-rs.
I know that TimeSplitters is a no go using usuall methods.. and there are no pacthes or anything... but had anyone tried it with esr's "spoof media type" feature?
Just wanted to say, I have tried the patcher in this thread for Tekken Tag, it works!!!!!
Also patched with ESR patcher.
Great stuff, thanks.
Can anyone repost the patch for Tekken Tag Tournament? The link seems to be dead.....
Half-Life (NTSC) work fine - I converted it from the info in the first post
just wanted to add that if anybody wants to play street fighter ex3 (backup) it works with usbadvance, but you have to use usbinsane or usbextreme to transfer to usb/hd
Crazy Taxi CD->DVD –
I'm running Free McBoot 1.8 on a fat PS2 30001 NTSC.
I've successfully booted several DVD-R backups and everything seems to running perfectly on the console.
Now I tried to apply the CD->DVD tutorial on my ISO of Crazy Taxi... followed the directions step by step (DVD Scan, dummy file, ESR patch, etc) and burned it on a DVD-R. ESR recognizes it, but when I go to launch CD/DVD, the screen freezes on a pink/magenta color.
Any ideas what went wrong?
I am having the same problem as the guy at this link: http://psx-scene.com/forums/432700-post91.html ([Tutorial] Converting CD Games to DVD for ESR use) but with a different game: Winback, and I was wondering A) How to convert it correctly by hand or B) If someone else has already encountered this problem (It's a long shot since almost no one plays the game).
I am guessing I should try checking for changes between the unmodified LBA/CRC Table (don't even know what that is) and the fully patched and converted LBA/CRC Table, thing is I don't know how to do that.
Major thanks for any help.

I followed the tutorial, after converting NBA Street from a CD to a DVD, I patched it, burned it using IMGBurn, I run ESRr9b, then, it gives me all the colors, and just hangs on a black screen.
Here's my stats:
FreeMCBoot version/elf: v1.8 /458 Kb
ESR: DVD Direct.elf (r9b)
Console: How do I find this part out?
uLaunchELF.cbs, disc control off
Game: NBA Street
Code: Not Sure
Patcher: ESR disc patcher GUI 0.24a
If anyone wants to help me out in solving this issue, that'd be great, because the first NBA Street is really fun, shame it came out as a CD though
There are two useful pieces of info which are very easy to get.

2: The ROMVER file in one of the bios rom files contains an important string which will be displayed by the "MISC/Debug Info" subprogram of uLE v4.34 or newer. The first four digits of that string show your bios version, and the fifth digit indicates your TV-system region ("E", "U", or "J" for PAL, NTSC/U, NTSC/J).
Personally I would combine such info like this:
Console: SCPH-39004 with ROMVER == "0160EC20020319_"
(NB: the final '_' is really a LineFeed byte in the ROMVER file, just before the string terminating NUL byte.)
