Somebody do something on accident, or no more news?

probably got tired of repeated news and or morons posting stupid shit lol
sucks that some idiots have to ruin it for others.![]()
You can still "submit" a news item, but it is no longer viewable after it submits, it disappears and only can be see by admins.
Reason was some idoits were submitting stupid fake news, and before we had to chance to review it and then delete, even tho you could not already reply to the submitted thread, it was causing enough of shitstorm by just people seeing it via google searchs and starting new threads about it, then deleting with the threads on "why did we not put it on the front page" or "why was it deleted", etc.
One bad apple ruins it for the whole barrel.
But it would be nice to move the news, which aren't make it to front page to a another location - there are often useful informations, would be a shame if it gets deleted unseen...
It gets determined if its news or just useful information. News goes on the front-page while the others get moved to the appropriate sub forum.
If someone posts it as a New Submission, then it has to be determined by Admins IF it is actually News and too many Fake news posts are being submitted, those are the ones that get deleted. If its just something "someone thinks" is News, but is is not and is useful, it DOES get moved into an appropriate forum.

OK... that makes sense.
...and while I'm aware of the Twitter API situation, the loss of the news summary at the top of the forum has made me a bit more sensitive to the changes in the forums.![]()

And they go to the general forum and make a new thread called NEWS
