I strongly dislike the new layout. So, what, the site sells out so naturally the new owners have to start screwing with what was already a successful site? Makes perfect sense. Honestly, whenever a site I frequent gets a new owner, they always try to change it and make it better. Instead, they alienate the old users and screw up what was formerly a successful set up.

Or maybe I was just comfortable with the old layout and hate change, but it could always be both.

"looks and feels newer"? No, not at all. It looks god awful and generic. I see nothing "newer" about the design, only a half ass attempt to be "edgy" and "high tech". What's next, are we going to get the ability to vote comments up and down and turn it in to a popularity contest? Oh, I know, let's have posts earn us gimmick points that we can THEN use to customize our posts. We could change our name color, give titles under our names, and even give colorful borders and images!!! Maybe we could all have my little pony images and heart signatures. HEY, then, if we reach a ridiculously high number of posts, we can have access to a special 1337 member section for only cool people!

Honestly, I think the new layout is absolutely horrible. Is this what we can expect from the "new" psx-scene?

I hated all the ads on the old layout, it made viewing the website on a PS3, PSP or 3DS really slow, almost not worth bothering with. The old layout was nice, but the amount of ads was beyond stupid.

then again, new is a fairly neutral term. i laughed at the part when you said "give titles under our names". we already can do that

but i think this is just the update from 3.8.6 to 4.1.4. Hopefully the theme changes too.
