thread order.... –
03-14-2009,10:39 AM
hey everyone, i love the site, really good stuff here.
i was wondering, why when i view a thread that the order is backwards? i mean that the first page and post is on the last page of the thread? this makes it kind of awkward to read a thread because i have to go to the bottom of the page and work up backwards through the thread... i hope im making sense.
is there a way to change this? on every other forum i visit the first page contains the firs post, and all you have to do is scroll down.
like i said i hope I'm making sense to someone.

no dice, same deal. if i have it in hybrid mode it seems to be in the correct order, but then i have that little index of posts at the top of the thread. which isn't too annoying, but all the same. fist time i have ever experienced this before. at first i thought it was firefox, but i tried opening the forum in IE and its the same deal.
i suppose i could just deal with the hybrid layout.

I've reset your display order to do oldest first on linear instead of newest first.

and for some reason it keeps defaulting back to linear - newest first.
Click on the userCP and then select the 'Options' button on the left. scroll down until you see "Thread Display Options"
Hit the drop menu and fix it the way you like. it should do the trick.
