No, leave forums as is so everyone 'even Sony' can see it.
Yes, just have registered members only.
Yes, and have admins/mods see peoples IP's allowing tracing.

Hello, I do not know if this is the right section but was wanting to know if hiding the forum from public viewers was a good idea. I have noticed a strikingly faster response from Sony in accordance with annoucements and discoveries that the community finds. Thought this might help with that ANTI-SCENE .. scene!
This would also allow people to add in IP tracking (for admins to see) and perhaps help reveal SPY's
I was going to send a PM to admins but figured their completely swamped by emails already so thought this might make a good thread for discussion.
Sorry in advance if I am completely out of line![]()
I don't think that it's necessary...
"Sony spies" just have to register and then use a proxy to hide their real IP...
They would also need to accept the terms and conditions![]()
So essentially they be breaking some rules etc.. It probably won't stop things completely but thought it might help stop the spamming a bit and mis-information.
Not to mention that we'd get even more people registering just to post, "I'm sorry, I couldn't read the forums since I wasn't a member, but will this hack GT5????"
Make a sticky in those forums with MUST READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING!!! anyone whom doesn't and asks a silly question gets account deleted or something. FixedThe problem with the forum now is its subjected to too much public exposure and opinion from what I can see. Anyone whom isn't serious enough to search a forum for answers ISN'T going to register anyway, and just goes away essentially.
PS. This also allows PSX-SCENE to save on traffic (gotta cost them a fortune)
1. You do know this is not the only website that reposts on the PS3 scene?
2. Also what is so great about the scene is stuff is free and you and available. (are you going to block GIThub too)
3. Mods already know our IP's this is the internet we all are being back traced (by the cyber police)
/thread
1. True
2. Still be free and still be available, know-one needs to pay to register?
3. Mods know IP's of posting parties but Passive people whom are not registered are unknown and many.
Perhaps traffic isn't a concern for PSX-SCENE anymore. I have seen plenty of mods being very upset with useless posts and threads and thought by upping the moderation a tad higher this could help. I could be wrong and perhaps this thread is in definition useless if I am the only one thinking this might help![]()
people would still see the information.
ps3hax, for example, posts the same things this website does.
and im sure they wouldnt want to make their website non public too.
plus there are tons of other ps3 websites posting latest news.
Dude this is the net. Information is obtainable no matter what. As soon as it leaks it goes viral. So sony will always have a way to find it. Also in relation to IP's. As soon as you log onto any website or hell even the internet period your effectively caught at whatever you are doing. It's just about whether or not the "authorities" actually wanna act on you being caught.
