What fix? You have a fix for spam I'm all ears. Best thing you can do is report it and a admin or mod will deal with it..

What was causing the slowdown recent?
No slowdown now. We had to reindex a bunch of threads earlier that were corrupt /check out forum announcements area/ but that's all fixed so things should be running normally now.
