Every time I post in the News section and leave a comment, I don't see the page refresh. I have to manually refresh to see if my post made into the comments. Do you have a workaround?
I am referring to the news section using this link: http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...launches-1220/ -- please note that it doesn't happen only on that page, but every other latest news topic where I want to leave a comment.
But when I post a reply in the regular forum, this issue does not happen, it automatically refreshes on its own.

Jayjay,
I tested this myself and received a similar result, so I contacted vbulletin support. Seems that the issue is that the page was designed to submit the response via a javascript sequence, instead of a normal html form response. This being the case, depending on internet speed and server response time, this javascript request can take 2-3 seconds to do it's thing. Once I confirmed nothing was actually "broken", i did some tests. Once you finish your responde and then click the add-comment button, wait 2-3 seconds. The waiting icon will appear after 1-2 seconds, and the page will refresh and show your comments. if you do not wait, and click something else (like the add-comment a second time), the javascript process will exit and the page will not refresh (although your comment still does make it through).
Anyways, thats the issue. Give it a couple seconds once you hit "Add Comment" and everything should be ok.

I've waited, and no, it doesn't refresh on it's own. Plus if I press the add comment button again, it will repetitively post my reply several times in the topic after I manually refresh my page. Seems like when I press this button, it doesn't seem like it does anything--I still see my text in the window. The button doesn't act like other normal buttons where they show some kind of sign that it's being pressed on.
I am going to turn off some plugins to see if the issue is not on my end. I'll report something if I find something on my end.

I tested this in Firefox, Safari, Chrome and IE. I tested it with an admin account, a mod account, and a plain registered user. Each of them worked the same. vbulletin even logged in and tested it from their end as well. I wish I had something else to tell ya.

Sorry in advance for the obnoxious-to-read sequential descriptions. I am also experiencing similar issues under Win7 x64 + Chrome (newest JRE installed, though I doubt that matters as Chrome tends to use internal plugin builds).
One incident was similar to Jay-Jay's; nothing happened when the submit button was clicked. After waiting several minutes, clicked it again: nothing. I copied my comment text, went to the homepage and then to the article again and pasted in the text... This time when I submitted it gave me an error message saying it was an identical comment to one I just posted. After refreshing the page again it was there.
Tonight another problem, similar, but not the same: After clicking submit, my browser showed that it was working, and the page refreshed. Comment box was now blank, but my comment was not visible. Reloaded the page, then went back to the homepage and followed the link to the article again, comment was still not visible. Got my original text back with the "Restore Auto-Saved Content" button, tried to submit again: page reloaded, comment box blank, comment not visible. Used the "Restore..." button again to retrieve my comment, tried to submit again, got an error message saying "You must wait 45 seconds between posts" or similar, but my comment was still not there... After a few more minutes, found this thread and tried the alternate approach of posting through the news article's forum thread (after verifying that my comment was still not there!), and had no problems that way.

On some occasions, I get this error. I update Java, thought that would fix it, but it seemed only temporary. It's like some days it works, and other days, it doesn't.

I'll take a look at the logs, and check with VB to see if any one else has this issue. There's a pretty big update to vbulletin that I'll be installing today or tomorrow that has a couple hundred fixes and improvements. Could be this is addressed there, as well. I'll take a look either way.
