Now that we let bygones be bygones, a TOS was introduced. In the Olive Branch post, you(the administration) said to get unbanned, they'd have to agree to the TOS, what about accounts that weren't banned? Seeing as they didn't have to get unbanned, that means they are bound to the TOS, which is kind of long and I was surprised when I read the one about not "harm[ing] minors in any way"
How're we gonna know who's a minor or not?

I think it mean to watch out for guys like DarthVader here:
By the way. Am I subject to the new TOS. I suppose I better read it now that I am mod-man mu-ha mu-ha ha ha ha
And you can not encourage this kind of behavior, too
But seriously, none of this shit!

I'm just gonna say you encourage it
but I never even got anything asking if I agreed to it[The TOS] or not. *Not giving any ideas or anything*

Here ya go : http://psx-scene.com/terms.html
What exactly does this TOS mean? I'm quite skeptical of some of the wording. It seems like a section of the TOS basically says "if you post any work here, we fully own it." I was wondering if clarification could be made on that? If what I assume is correct, that's very very scary.
I got a lot of writing to do tomorrow. lol. I wanna talk about this in detail with the admins
.
It seems it was edited or maybe i didn't catch the full thing. Still it's a hell of a lot to absorb. Clarification from leet speak (read lawyer speak) would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to know more about this TOS, mainly why. I can help in clarifying the TOS. If you get any info from the admins, keep me updated.

Like master said to begin with I guess. Did we read them, or agree to them, or what. Or is it just PSX/G's way of staying out of legal trouble? That is my thought.

if someone started posting links to warez, according to the TOS, psx-scene owns it meaning they own the posted warez link.

I'll tell you a little story. Couple of years back I was a member of a blog. There were many bloggers in that site that would contribute their material. Some of these bloggers become very popular. One particular blogger decided to part ways with the site, but he wanted to have the site delete all his blogs, since he wanted to start his own site and wanted to move his blogs to this other site. The blog site did not want to comply. It got so bad, that they finalized it with a legal hearing. It turned out that the blogger could not force the site to wipe out his work on the site. Why? Because he freely donated his work in a medium where his blogs were volunteered. He lost the case on that. And to this day, the blog site still has his work--perhaps his best work he ever blogged in his blogging career.
Now there is a limit to what you can copyright. You can't copyright posts and replies in a public forum. I can't copyright the words or this reply I am currently posting right now. Since they are just expressed ideas or thoughts. So if I ever part ways from this site, I can't force this site to delete all my work.
On the other hand, you can copyright a book you create whether fiction or non-fiction. You can copyright an extensive manual (such as those "how to dummy books"), but before you publish it--release it for anyone to read it, you must first copyright it (actually pay for the protection or at least a certification so you can prove it's your work), before hand. You can't just write "copyright" at the bottom of the work and think it's protected 100%. Hopefully this helps in some way.

No, that is not what it says. Actually you would be breaking their rules for linking sites or content that they disapprove of and only that would be deleted from your posts and you risk getting banned. My above story tells you what it really is.
