ATTENTION ALL USERS:
I have been a long time member of this website, and I have seen a lot of changes, improvements and interesting conversations; but one thing that has remained the same is needless senseless posts.
I am here to ask each and every one of you, myself included, to please look through your own posts and edit those posts for deletion. I know this would cause a lot of work for the moderators of this site, but I assume that every mod on this site does so for the benefit of the site not there own personal egos. This site is made to disseminate informations about various consoles and their capability to be modified. With that being said, we know that we were all at one time newbies and i know when i got here there was not as much crude to search through.
With some posts reaching hundreds of pages and not having any viable solution (psgrade) it is needless to say that something has to change. Im not the best when it comes to typing what i want to say, but i hope that i have caught the attention of a mod or two and that this can spread and do some real good.

well well well. there's a name I haven't seen since the old days of PS2HD. How's military life treating you? (If I remember right.)
And yeah, it's hard as hell to police this with the massive influx of n00bs. But asking users to police themselves? they won't listen. hell, half of them have a hard time even following rules. One of those scenarios of "what can you do?"

Although I agree it aint going to happen mate.
All these useless posts, rumours and outdated information generates traffic to the website. They aren't going to delete them if they make money from it

honestly i never really thought about the implications of deleting older posts, but truth be told i was more talking about the "So we can hack 3.50" posts in the "Rumor Jailbreak possible on 3.50 firmware" Thread...
BTW: Bootleg, I am doing GREAT. I have a new born son and my wife he and I all live in Norfolk Va. I really wish that ps2hd hadn't fell apart like it had...Good times.

Whats up bro!! Long time no hear. Yea its been messy around here for dumb posts, but for those who read them, they can be somewhat entertaining and that in itself is useful. It also serves to show new comers what will happen to dumb nonsense posts as well.
We as long time members might feel them as a waste, but there are a lot of different people and lots of different 'tastes' for what makes a good read.
Trouble-makers are the main focus on us keeping the forums 'clean' at this point.
Congrads on the new baby!
PS2 Consoles:

SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE

Don't know you omegatron, but welcome back to the site.
I know with the hacking of the PS3, this site has went over-board with a flux of noobs. 99% of them ask the same damn questions over and over, if they had only used the search function, they would see 30-40 previous posts asking the exact same questions.
And you can do a quick browse of a lot of the newer post, "rough reading" as it is cell text format, or jibber-ish. And then you have some new members who only have a very few post count acting like MODS, flaming members, acting like they know it all. It's quiet amusing "comical" reading some of them, especially when some who's been here a while and know how stuff "really" works proves them wrong.
Anyway, so your in the Military or was? I'm a 11 year Army Vet. here. Well I don't want to take this off topic.
But again welcome back. And congrats on the little one..

The rise of "Shitposting" (uneducated posts which don't bring anything to the conversation, elitism towards other users, posting for the sake of posting, etc.) is always something you see when a forum suddenly attracts widespread attention. I witnessed the same thing happening with Facepunch Studios when Garry's Mod started getting popular.
Just be glad you don't have any postcount-based rewards/privileges here or things could be a lot worse

Yep, one of the reasons the +1 rep system is still disabled. -- I don't like reading a forum, and seeing nothing but "one-line" twitter style messages.
Forums were originally designed to have thoughful long winded talks, with good dialog between a few or many people that deeply care about the subject discussion, and not to be broken up into key puzzle pieces throw into mass wading pool of 100,000 extra messages with just one line of text in each one, that are not related or helpful in any way to original subject matter.
