Maybe ask this page to do it?
http://www.versiontracker.com/
Or maybe make a versiontracker.psx-scene.com?
you mean a download section ?
But you seem to be suggesting some off-site storage, which is quite contrary to what garyopa suggested. (and please keep in mind that he is kind of a super-admin here).
Since he suggested a library of latest attachments, rather than a library of general downloads, he clearly intended that all of those attachments should remain in their current on-site storage, but with some new page/thread presenting a collection of links to them, so that they can all be found without having to track down the individual posts they were attached to.
Personally I think that such collections of attachment links can be very useful, quite independently of any other link 'libraries' that we might also compile for more generic download purposes.

And versiontracker’s concept does not do that?
I just said ask versiontracker to do ass a section; that is probably not going to happen,
or look at their concept, it’s good.
I can also help build some of it; mysql, php, jQuery, etc
That is really beside the point.
Why would garyopa want to involve any other site in keeping track of file attachments to user posts of the psx-scene forums ? I can't see any point in that.
He was obviously speaking of an implementation completely local to the psx-scene.com site.
Maybe so, and there's no harm in looking it over of course, but I think garyopa can come up with something useful of his own.I just said ask versiontracker to do ass a section; that is probably not going to happen,
or look at their concept, it’s good.
Good, but I don't think he was asking for help with this, but was merely checking if we had enough of an interest in this feature for him to be motivated to implement it for us. And I for one think it would be a very useful feature, so I'm all for it.I can also help build some of it; mysql, php, jQuery, etc

Me too.
