DST settings issue –
03-19-2010,04:46 PM
I'm having problems with DST settings. Now we are using GMT -4 due to daylight saving, in my settings at the CP I have the time zone to GMT -5 with DST settings automatically detect. When I go to the homepage the browser always refreshes and DST wont update to GMT -4.

Seems to be working for me. -- I got it set to GMT -5 with auto-detect and it displays GMT -4 no problem.
Trying setting it again, and then clicking on Log-Off, and then log-back-in, if still does not work, try clearing your browser cookies, or trying another web browser.
I am using IE8 and windows xp, and I didn't have to clear my cookies.
Any other user have problems?

I have done what you said before asking this, but it didn't work, I'm using Firefox 3.6. When I log out and log in again I'm redirected to: http://psx-scene.com/forums/ and there's no problem, but when I try to get this: http://psx-scene.com/forums/cmps_index.php it's an endless loop. Anyways I'm not going to change my browser, thanks for your suggestions.

What do you mean by endless loop?
When you are on "cmps_index.php" you select button "forums" and it should switch to the "index.php" page.
There is alot of users using Firefox, with no problems, maybe try updating to the latest firefox.

Edit: Now I got this: "Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired. Please push the back button and reload the previous window." and the "loop" again.
There is a later firefox v3.7 in the beta testing stage. -- A few other users have reported the "security token" problem, and they were using Firefox v3.6, and I think one of them solved it by upgrading to the beta v3.7
I am also going to upgrade the forums software from v3.8.4 to v3.8.5 which will fix about 27 little bugs here and there, hopefully that will fix your problems.
Within 24 hours the forum upgrade should be completed, if you still having problems by sunday please let me know.

OK, there is no more problems with DST, and I don't use beta software. Thanks for your tips and help.

Not sure why it got fixed. -- I have not completed the upgrade to this site yet. -- I got hit with a nasty virus on my pc this weekend, and that took up all my time.
