I think this post should be for Rich--I read in his bio that it's his fault when things don't work right in this forum (humor/joke).

I wanted to report two issues:

    First issue:

Download Button is difficult to read...

After you switch to the forum theme: NEWPSX Vsit the downloads section of this forum. You will see that the download buttons title description is hidden. I think you need to fix the HTML code so it stays at one color (white). (see screen shot and see red arrows pointing to the problem.) Here is a link to one of the downloads: http://psx-scene.com/forums/download...do=file&id=257

    Second Issue:

Post Titles show incorrect HTML code...

Incorrect html-code-syntax in post titles can be viewed when an upload has been submitted by a member and it's notified/reported in the System Notifications - sub-forum Link: http://psx-scene.com/forums/system-notifications/

I think there is an HTML code missing, because it shouldn't display the following HTML code along with the true topic title:

    Code:
<!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: downloadii create newthread title -->
    and...

    Code:
<!-- END TEMPLATE: downloadii create newthread title -->
Here is a screenshot showing the problem with red arrows:

Rich, if you can't figure out these issues, please PM me the template for these pages, so I can fix them for you. I know HTML coding.

This issue is actually a bug in downloadsii. In certain conditions, it ignores the stylesheets it should be using and puts in its own colors. If I change the stylesheet that it is using to a white link, then the other links on the page (on a white background) would become invisible. I went ahead and did a CSS style override just for the one button in the one style, which fixed the issue. The issue did not exist in the other styles.

There is/was no HTML code missing. The author who wrote the plugin was sloppy, using templates to control how the thread is created instead of phrases as he should have. In addition, he did not have the plugin play nicely when template debugging is turned on (hence, the html comments). He didnt consider this a bug, and just told everyone not to use html comment debugging. I constantly switch the debugging on and off, as I am looking for template information in the html to help me isolate an issue. Hence, when debugging is turned on you got the above comments in the html.

I went ahead and debugged the plugin, fixed the issue with the comments, rolled live and tested here, and went back to where I got the code and explained how to fix the bug to everyone else who downloaded this. Hopefully the next release will include my code to make it play nice with vbulletin.

I'll keep that in mind when I run into an html issue, as apparently i dont know html.
