Change layout of sub-forum's structure...
Change layout of sub-forum's structure... –

I've been wanting to suggest this for a while now.
I was able to create a dummy image that will help me explain my suggestion to organize each sub-forum. (Please view my attached image for reference to my suggestions explained below).
I'd like to know if it would be possible to break up the Sticky Topics and the Regular Topics as well as add an Announcement Topics area for each sub-forum. Please notice how using a break-bar in between the three categories makes it easier to spot the three areas of the sub-forum (I used the multiMAN sub-forum as an example).
Announcement Topics
I would suggest that at the very top, the Announcement Topics section should have locked posts that provide the latest updates or downloads to certain sub-forums subject or development. And that only Admins, Moderators, or "content contributors" (like me) could be the only ones to be able to update these posts inside the Announcement area for each sub-forum. These topics should be locked so it only provides the important information that it caters to. These announcements topics can also be tutorials or any other extras that are important to the development of each sub-forum--but they should be locked, so it can only provide information.
Sticky Topics
The second section below the Announcement Topics should be the Sticky Topics. These would be topics that could contain contributions to a particular sub-forum from other developers or regular users for the subject of that sub-forum. These topics should not be locked, and can include themes, compatibility charts, and etc (depending on the subject for each sub-forum).
Regular Topics
The final section below the Sticky Topics should be the Regular Topics. This is where members can post discussion, report bugs, and ask questions, and etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions...
When you look at the image below, go to the current multiMAN sub-forum and make a comparison. You will notice how the Sticky topics don't really stand out: http://psx-scene.com/forums/multiman/

I would like a new theme for the site.
That would be awesome.

Thanks that will be great! Here is some more info on this modification: Separate Sticky and Normal Threads - vBulletin.org Forum
I've seen this type of modification in other vBulletin forums. They have up to four separate sections:
- Global Announcements - posts that admins want everyone to be able to see at the very top of each sub-forum (sometimes these announcements are just below the menu.) Some have to install this mod in order to have global announcements--beats having to post multiple posts for each sub-forum to announce a repetitive message globally!

- Announcements - (these are special posts just for each sub-forum)
- Sticky Topics.
- Regular Topics.

Hey jay-jay. check it out. announcements are now separate from sticky topics which are separate from the regular topics. Just wanted to make sure you saw it. Looks a lot cleaner. Great suggestion.

Thanks. Yes, it does look organized now.
I am wondering if this new structure now has what they call Global Announcements and just plain Announcements. Let me define:
Global Announcements are seen globally of the very top of each sub-forum. Here an administrator can make one single post be viewed in all sub-forums in one try. I've witnessed in the past that you guys seem to make multiple posts to make a single announcement. This is unnecessary since if you add the feature "global announcements" you only have to create one post and then mark it as Global Announcement. Does this feature exist in this forum?
Regular Announcements are seen at the top of each Sub-forum and it's a unique post that only caters to each sub-forum's category and etc. This is what I also want to be able to moderate myself (as well as other moderators). Here I propose to create a post that only includes the latest downloads or updates of the subject of each sub-forum. For example: The multiMAN sub-forum's regular Announcement would include a locked post that includes only the links to the latest updates of the program and a guide/tutorial on how to use this program. It should be locked so only a moderator or a person like me that will keep that post updated with the latest updates and information and etc. If this topic is separated from the Sticky Topics (placed above them), that would be my next wishlist feature to be included in the forum's structure.
To my recollection, I think "Global Announcements" is a feature that needs to be added. I am not sure if you guys already have such feature.. Let me know? If you need more info on this, let me know.

Is it true that the US can seize this domain if they had a reason to?
Was the TPB move from org to se a good move?
