Change layout of sub-forum's structure...
I've been wanting to suggest this for a while now.
I was able to create a dummy image that will help me explain my suggestion to organize each sub-forum. (Please view my attached image for reference to my suggestions explained below).
I'd like to know if it would be possible to break up the Sticky Topics and the Regular Topics as well as add an Announcement Topics area for each sub-forum. Please notice how using a break-bar in between the three categories makes it easier to spot the three areas of the sub-forum (I used the multiMAN sub-forum as an example).
I would suggest that at the very top, the Announcement Topics section should have locked posts that provide the latest updates or downloads to certain sub-forums subject or development. And that only Admins, Moderators, or "content contributors" (like me) could be the only ones to be able to update these posts inside the Announcement area for each sub-forum. These topics should be locked so it only provides the important information that it caters to. These announcements topics can also be tutorials or any other extras that are important to the development of each sub-forum--but they should be locked, so it can only provide information.
The second section below the Announcement Topics should be the Sticky Topics. These would be topics that could contain contributions to a particular sub-forum from other developers or regular users for the subject of that sub-forum. These topics should not be locked, and can include themes, compatibility charts, and etc (depending on the subject for each sub-forum).
The final section below the Sticky Topics should be the Regular Topics. This is where members can post discussion, report bugs, and ask questions, and etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions...
When you look at the image below, go to the current multiMAN sub-forum and make a comparison. You will notice how the Sticky topics don't really stand out: http://psx-scene.com/forums/multiman/
