PSP with OFW 6.35 CFW help
PSP with OFW 6.35 CFW help –
I have recently tried to install cfw 6.35 onto my psp 2003 running OFW 6.35. When i select the cfw application (6.35 Pro B) nothing happens then the screen turns off. To turn back on i have to hold down either R or start for it to turn on. When turned back on no cfw is installed. Please help. Oh and unrelated to CFW will a 3600mAh battery work in my psp with currently has a 1200 mAh battery
Ok do i still use 6.35 CFW and what about the battery?
Yes a higher capacity battery should work, the only issue you can run into with a psp 2000 is that if the battery is designed to fit a psp 1000 you need that fatter plastic cover for it because the stock one will not fit.
Thanks gwillis and baha22 i will install ofw once i have enough battery power
Right ive installed ofw 6.60. I then selected cfw 6.60 pro b and the psp showed the sony screen then shut down.
Go here and download 660PRO-C2.rar. Open it and navigate to PSP/GAME. In there you should find 3 folders, CIPL_Flasher, FastRecovery and PROUPDATE. Copy the FastRecovery and PROUPDATE folders into your PSP/GAME folder (the one that is actually in your PSP).
Now using the PSP go to game section and select the memory stick. There should be two things that show up, Fast Recovery and Pro Update. First open Pro Update, it should give you a black screen with white text. I believe it says press X to install the CFW (double check which one it is, I haven't done this in a while). After it's done installing, it should automatically boot into the CFW. If you turn off the PSP then you will no longer be in the CFW, so just open up Fast Recovery and it should automatically go back into the CFW.
Right followed that exactly when i open pro update the psp screen turns black. Then it makes a clicky noise and the screen stays black with green light on. To turn back on i have to hold down the R button. Once back on it still says Version 6.60. Running the fast recovery doesnt help either
Well pro LCFW doesn't work on all PSP models, you might have a model that isn't compatible with it. You can try getting 6.60 LME or try on a different PSP.
Thanks you've been loads of help its worked perfectly.
