Thanks for a very helpful and informative thread. I was stumped for awhile as to whether I needed a modchip / pandora battery or simply a cfw, hell some ass tried to convince me to buy a pandora battery off him for $50, I mean come on..... Luckily we have sites such as this one to inform those of the choices we have, whether to install these cfw OR pay someone jibbie punk down the road for a method that was last used in the good OLD days. Then again I could be wrong.

Well thanks Titan TX for this thread and Especially to RandQalan for the assistance given, thanks bud.

Oh by the way my psp is a PSP-1002 on OFW 6.20. Am I still good to go?

I would go with PRO B10 6.20 CFW so no need to update and use perm patch after install and good to go

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

horustehbfdragu, you'll need to have CFW in order to read iso's on your memory stick, read the tutorial and install CFW first before trying to load up an ISO.

Thanks for the guide i prety much get what i need to do, but i just wanna get some things clear before i start.

the psp is 2003, should i assume i am safe to make the cfw permenant or do i need to check the mobo version first ?

ive downloaded the B10 fix1 and there is folders called seplugins and sdk, i guess sdk is dev kit so ill ignore that but do i need the seplugins for anything ?

What is CIPL ? im just curious what that stands for.

    Thanks

    SCPH-39003, FMCB 1.8b, uLE v4.42a, OPL 0.8, ESR v0.24a

This is gonna sound BAD....... What do you do after you've installed Pro-B9 ?? Do you just drop ISO's into the Game folder and they will work ?? is that the point of Pro-B9 that you can play ISO's downloaded from Torrent sites ?

This might all sound NOOB'ie but honestly ive been online all day and theirs tons on how to get PRO-B9 etc etc but nobody tells you what it does or how to use it LOL "Honstly"

Which link is best for PSP 1000?

EDIT: Scratch that. I'm going to get the Daxter pack that comes with a hackable PSP 2000. Also, what does CPL stand for?

CIPL stands for Custom IPL thats what you install when you have the ability to get permanent CFW, only applicable to PSP 1000s and PSP 2000s PRE TA88V3

LUWIGY after installing PRO-B9 create an ISO folder on the root of your memory stick and just drag and drop your ISOs or CSOs in there.
