bloody hell............that'll be a breakthrough.......................go on lik sang!!![]()
hmm, I wonder why the mod is done on top of a ps2 case, is it that useless?
I'm sorry xiaNaix, but this new is a fake. These pics were taken by el_ter, a member of my forum that is triing to hack the GC since quite time ago, and didnt correspond to any mod. It was only an experiment to know if the GC is able to read data from dvd-r, the PCB you see in the pics is used to read the data-bus from the gd-reader with an oscilloscope. His conclusion was that the GC can read dvd-r adjusting a little the laser.
The pictures may not correspond to Lik-Sang's mod (I've seen them EVERYWHERE), but Lik-Sang WAS busted becuase of their devlopment on a GC Mod. There were three groups making a mod. Lik-Sang was one of them, but I heard they just stopped devlopment after getting busted. Then there was another one who pulled funding, so that one will be delayed a bit. And then I heard the last one just quit.
And I think something around 13 ISOs have been ripped...

The pics could very well be unrelated to the story, since they were taken from a different source. I am, however, confident that the source for the Lik-Sang bit is good.![]()
Haha! As long as people know the truth.![]()
That MIGHT explain a telephone call I got from China yesterday......Originally posted by xiaNaix
Seems the truth of the Lik-Sang bust is this...
Nintendo initiated the raids because Lik-Sang affilated hackers were close to completing a GameCube mod. M$ and Sony decided to jump on the bandwagon afterward. As a result, Lik-Sang is NOT closed down but has simply moved part <cough> of it's business over to China.
Guchi that is a fake rumour post, lik sang got raided in hong kong along with many other companies, basicly as they were selling mods on an extremely large scale. When they got raided they had over 30,000 mods and they were seen by all 3 companies as a threat as mods are actually illegal in Hong Kong like most places. Nintendo were involved because of GBA linker products they were making. They have always had part of the business in china.
I see no proof to back up either statement, so for now, I'm going to believe that that is what they want us to think.
