Hmm,

You should have it checked out then. Maybe a loose wire or a crossed wire. If it used to work, then the wires are not crossed.

If PS1 games work, the the laser should be good for reading CDRs. And you said your Qcast disc works good, so I really think it's a loose point somewhere.

Didn't your installer offer you a warranty?

I can't recall DVDr but no CDR, maybe G and H mixup. Check those. Well, did it ever boot CDR? If no, then check G and H for being crossed. You need a multimeter from Radioshack that has a continuity checker. It makes a beep if you touch the point to the correct point on the chip.

But first, i'd take a small object like a jeweler's screwdriver and LIGHTLY scrape it over the points. If one comes loose, then that's probably the culprit. But do you have enough skillz to solder?

Tieger true i am older than u true!!, but i was unemployed at the time and it really was ****eries to get that damned Refund M8, it was still PS2 blues at THAT time, i thought i would share my story and give you a little faith thats all
