Worst luck with ps2, PS2 Blues

yes i have had the ps2 blues from the begginning of the ps2 moding scene...

it all started when i wanted my very first ps2, so my dad was awesome and got one for me on the first day! (the ps2 blues wernt in yet)

then after a few months, the neo1 USB mod came out so i got it, along with a gameshark...this was kinda annoying when i wanted to play backups but i put up with it!

then as months and maybe years came by...it took me more then 10 times to get the gameshark to boot, then sometimes the backup wouldnt boot...so i would have to wait another ten minutes to get the gs2 to boot again...
**all of this was with a CLEAN laser**

well by this time i talked to a smart alecky young person like myself called necrolop ( i didnt know anything bout any forums) i took most ps2 advice from him...i had decided enough! i was gonna get a ps2 and mod it with a cool new magic 2 so i sold my old ps2 and bought a new one! A V7

well when it came to mod this ps2...my bro *an electronic engineer* was having trouble moding it...so then one day his ASS of a friend came by and was all like "lemme try i use to do this stuff all the time" i repeatedly said no, but he took it into his own hands and did it anyway, the next day i looked at the bios points...and they were bridged beyond belief....

so i asked necro what to do and he said desolder braid...but i just couldnt get it undone..so he offered to fix it for me, and mod it....it was quite a gracious offer...i couldnt refuse!

so i sent it over to him... when he first got it he said it looked great...but then in reality when fixing it wasnt stable and finally lost video all together . yes i was out a brand new motherboard. so i sought help! krawl420 happend to offer us a good deal on motherboards...i had to trade mine in and necro even did another gracious deed, and traded one of his dead mobos to krawl to... and the new mobo came.... the ps2 worked by this time...but the damn magic2 just wouldnt boot backups !! so necro did another good thing! and swapped out my magic2 for a messiah2!! (wow) then even that didnt work, my laser just wouldnt boot didly squat althought it was brand new V7 so necro took the dvd drive out of his own ps2 and put it in mine (v6) then after 3 months i got my ps2 back messiah2 modded! i was soooo happy everything worked pretty good...this was the first time i had a stable machine...then a few days ago it just stoppped booting CDR!!! now im back to where i started..because 80% of my fav games r on CD-r


this has been the ps2 blues...

Dat is sad...Let me tell you my story:

I got my ps2 a year and half ago for a christmas present, and it worked fine....I sent it off immediately to get a neo 2.2 installed in it, and received it back within 1 week which worked great. I couldn't get the EA Swap to work, but that really didn't matter to me....It played pretty much all my games. All this time it's been playing FLAWLESSLY ...But I decided I wanted to go with a Magic 3.1 a month ago...Sent my ps2 to VietNamese, and he installed chip for me, and I got it back within a week!!! It worked great , and still does! No sign of the laser being messed up or anything!

DAMN, isn't that a sad story ...Guess my Version 4 is pretty strong at holding up

haha.. Im a installer myself. Installed a Magic 3.1 in one V4 and it would boot maybe 1:5 backups. Installed a 3.1 in a V4 yesterday. Boots 100% :-\

Ha, I installed a Magic 2 in mine over a year ago and have never had a problem. Now just 3-4 months a go I installed a 3.1 and still never had a problem. Damn am I good. heheheh Not a sad story but not in the mood to be sad!!
