The major difference between this site and Ownz is that this place is still a good resource for a wide variety of information. I think you'll find their forums, if you can even get a membership with all the restrictions, has been reduced to nothing more than advertisements and tech support for Divinio products.

Also note that this thread is still here and none of you have been banned. Try pulling a stunt like this over there and see what happens.

yeah i cant even log on 0wnz no more they wont open the account aftr the 5 day email bullshit but no biggy only thing i liked there was the b/s/t alot of dumbasses selling stuff cheap cause no one vists mownz and the sells were down heh but sence that loser NoxZima took out pms the b/s/t is rubbish now

I still can't believe some people can say that we are becoming like Ownz. I can understand how iidiot can think that the tactics might be the same, but the reasons are totally different. We are not doings things like this to line our pockets with cash and feed our members with bullshit. We are doing them with the best of intentions to try and ensure that YOU, the general scener/member/noob has an alternative source to the money hungry scum that is Ownz.

Another things that needs to be said is that I don't even consider Ownz to be our competition. The two sites aren't even competing on the same level. We strive to keep information free, whilst they compete for your money and provide you with other peoples hard work. Do I even need to bother about discussing the ridiculous rules they have over there? People get upset when we censor a suppliers name, because we feel that they are contributing negatively to the scene. If that gets you upset, go and start a membership at Ownz then. See if you can blow your nose without asking for permission. Go start a thread like this over there... See if your account is not banned within 2 mins. You could always reactivate it by paying them ofcourse!

Notice how you never hear of people complaining that "PS2-Scene has ripped off all my hardwork and is now profiting from it." Yet you can see pages and pages of stuff like that about Ownz not only here, but many other places as well.

Every one of you who is still a member of Ownz, is helping to diminish the scene. Make no mistake about it. When PS2-Scene is shutdown, and believe me it's a struggle to keep this place going, you'll all reflect on posts like this and think "Damn, I wish I'd just shut the **** up and shown them more support".
