Why is this site telling me I can't post a link in my message until I have 30 posts? I'm NOT trying to post a link AT ALL

I then go back and uncheck "automatic link parsing" and try to cut down the length of my post to just 2 sentences and it lets me post.

I NEED to add more info to my post or I probably wont get any help.

Is this a bug?

It's done to prevent spam and fake links. What's probably screwing you up is punctuation. Remove all unnecessary punctuation or put spaces immediately before and after and it should show up. If it looks funky, one of the mods should help you fix it to make it look right

I found it, prior to your post, it was because I typed the words upgrade and bin with a dot in between. haha. thanks anyways.
