Does it have to be new? What about well used?Originally Posted by Peppers
Well, the scions are pretty cheap, just dont go get some Korean car, like a Hondai or something.
The new Chevy Cobalt and Aveo are pretty cheap. Then there's Suzuki and the typical Honda Civic DX.
The Cobalt base model starts at about 14K (MSRP)
Aveo about 12K
Suzuki Aerio at 13K
Civic about 14K
Hyundai Accent costs about 10K
Kia Rio starts about the same price as the Hyundai
Seems like the Korean cars are your best bet, especially when bought new. Also keep in mind that you can still bargain and all of that, so take these figures with a grain of salt.
Used is definitely the easiest way to save money on a "new-to-me" car, but unless you're mechanically inclined, I wouldn't recommend it. Then there's motorcycles, but you can't really ride those in the rain.![]()
Youve got a month or so left to get the end of the model year.
yeh I guess I should probably wait till the new models come in so I can get the old ones for cheaper and if I go with ford I can probably use my dads employee discount (works for ford could put it under his name) although I dont know if that counts for anything for now sence they are doing that employee discount for everyboady thing
btw what dose K mean? (that is right I dont know)
Doesnt work like that, you need to buy at the end of august/begining of september.
K means kilo, as in a thousand; part of the devil's metric system.![]()
Saturn Ions aren't very expensive. Don't have time to look up the exact price, but where I live you can get one for 127 a month! I have a used 96 saturn, and pay right over that monthly. Although, longer time it takes to pay stuff off, if you have the money you can pay more, or all of it so you don't have to worry about taxes so much. There pretty nice, run well, and I think the new ions are cute. Cobalts aren't bad either...Though they remind me way to much of neons.
You definitely need a cute car though to pick up the chicks. I know that's the next car I'm gonna get. I'd really like to have a mini coop though. Orange and black with a sunroof. Of course even though it's cute you can't haul to many girls (not big girls anyways LOL), but I'm guessing you could at least haul 2 or 3 midgets
.
And that should be good enough for any of you on this forum!!!!!![]()
Yea Minis are real nice and zippy too, but they're soo pricey.
I was thinking of getting a used Corvette myself after I graduate and finally start working, but with rising gas prices and lack of garage space, I've been leaning towards learning how to ride. There's something about a 1-liter Suzuki Katana that gets my adrenaline going more than an American sports car could ever hope to do and if you get a girl to ride it gets slightly more intimate than in a four wheeler.![]()
