lol wtf?!?! :P
(TWENTAY)
Personally, I think rap is just about the worst "music" to have ever come down the pipe.
Because it was you that posted this, I tried to hang with it as long as possible.........ya know........out of respect.
I had to pause it at 2:47...........just couldn't handle it any more.
I have to go wash out my ears now with some Anthrax or Megadeath. Chit, even some OLD style Blondie might do the trick to clear that out.
Think I'm going to go download that vibrator program for my controller now and see what the wife REALLY thinks about my PS3!
i sorta agree with blarix 50 and lil wayne suck but whoever says rap sucks isnt listening to the right kind most rappers like Jay-z and kanye and lupe fiasco rap about real stuff ESPECIALLY Lupe just listen to all black everything he says how life would be if slavery never happened its DEEEEP
I want to find out what the average age of RB members is.
This resurfaced due to the Rebecca Black tragedy(Bless her soul). Kinda catchy but. Esp when your in a lecture hall and someone blares it on full volume![]()

Poetry classics? I highly doubt that any rap will EVER be considered as "classic"................. god damned sure not poetry.
You're welcome.
While I didn't originally say "rap sucks", that truly is what I was thinking (and have always thought about the stuff).
I really don't mean to offend anybody because of a particular taste in music. It is just my opinion.
Having grown up in the 70's and 80's, I can fully understand what you think about me (ie.......he just doesn't understand my music). My parents didn't understand (or like) what I listened to while growing up.
While I (quite literally) have everything from orchestral classics and opera (yeah, even opera :o ) to country........to metal.......to Latino (and a good variety of other chit) on my mp3, the closest thing you will find to rap on my mp3 player is bawitdaba.
I had a helper (23 year old "kid") that insisted on listening to rap every day. He worked for me for five months and we listened to it for 40 - 60 minutes EVERY day (on our drive to and from job sites), so it's not like I have never given it a chance. I honestly tried. For the stuff I couldn't understand.........he would happily speak the words for me.
That was just one of many things I would do for him to keep him in a good mood and provide good work for me.
I truly tried to appreciate it. I could understand what these guys were talking about. the stories in the "songs" are rather interesting (sometimes). It just comes down to what a person likes to hear...........what is pleasing to a particular person. I DON'T like the way it sounds. It is all just screeching and yelling into a mic, to my ears.
Hell, you give a cd of the krap I grew up listening to (and enjoying) to someone who grew up listening to Benny Goodman, Buddy Clark or Harry James (truly good artists from the '30's and '40's) and they would want to vomit at the sounds spewing out of the speakers. It is all a matter of perspective.
Reminds of a line from a certain song:
"Take it from me, parents just don't understand"
Nice little line from The Fresh Prince that I just happened to remember.
What's actually kind of funny is that my father not only understands, but enjoys listening to Metallica. He is 72 years old. He say's "they have a good beat". Strange old phart!![]()
waoh woah waoh...wth, i opened this thread to show you guys how big of *******es can exist in the world...this has turned into a music debate =.=
