necrolop,
Although I can follow you to a great extend I would like to make a comment about the US going in for the freedom of the Iragi people. I think that that's a bit naive. It's a good reason but not the main reason I think. Look around, there are many more countries in the world where people suffer from butchering dictatorships, I don't see the US worrying about them as much as they do about Saddam.
I'm from the Netherlands and I'm behind my goverment which fully supports the US (and the UK, let's not forget them) in their actions. A dutch division of patriot rockets is fully operational already in Turkey near the Iraq border to offer defense against a possible attack of Iraq.
I also get sick of the people that take their luxury for granted and don't think about how that luxury was obtained troughout the history of the western world.
I hope your brother doesn't have to go into combat. An army needs to keep the peace by giving the impression that they are capable of going to war and winning it. The last thing an army wants is actually going into war unless if there's absolutly no other way. I also hope if it does come to war it will be a swift and clean and well coordinated operation with no casualties on either side.. except for Saddam's head on a stick, offcourse. But now I'm being naive I guess.

Yes, lets hope for fewwest amounts of casualties on both sides, definatly. It is true, 90% of the world is a sack of shit, but we cant fix it all, and in most cases, like Africa, those countries dont even have the ability to be good countries if they tried, which they arent. Iraq was and could be, after the Iraqi-Iranian war Iraq was many Billions of dollars in debt and was in ruins, thanks to Saddam. Hes gassed the kurds, and destroyed anyone hoo opposes him. He definatly doesnt have the right to be in charge. I dont think it should be us fixing it though, I feel revolutions should be an internal affair, but sometimes this shit happens. We can only hope for the best outcome for both sides of this conflict. Hopefully leaving saddam killed by his own people.

what i really hate is i see anti-war marches everyday, and AMERICANS not supporting it's brothers and sisters who are actually preserving our way of life, and keeping us from having to fear powers who hate america...I have 3 friends who have gone to Iraq, and to watch TV, and have America show that it's not supporting my friends who are risking their life for everyone here, thats what i hate...

fidel castro is the kid that would always say he'd throw the rock at your head, but it was actually dirt, and when the time came, he'd never throw it.
saddam is the kid that found a metal crowbar and is only biding his time before hes gonna beat the f*ck out of people hes pissed at.
and bush is the kid that found his daddy's gun (but hides it until he needs it, but wants an excuse to use it) and bosses everyone and everything...
my little analogy

I think we have the right to boss people around. Untill other countries build 10,000 Thermo Nuclear Warheads and spend $200,000,000,000 a year on defense alone, we rule all. Hell yea.
Yea, it is disheartening to see. There are legit arguements to be made against the war, but for these people in the marches i have no respect. Most of these marches are actually organised by the US Communist Party, these are really Anti America Rallies not Anti War rallies, and people who have legit oppositions to the war are getting suckered into that BS.

no you dont have the right to boss other countries around.
thats exactly why wars start.

Well, we use our power to influence them, that is what power is for. The more power you have, the less you will have to use it.
-

well obviously, the USA is the 'bigger brother', and should influence countries that are getting out of line...
but who should be taking charge and policing is the UN - not the usa.
-

If the Un wants the Policy, than they should for one, follow their own damn policy, france doesnt go to the UN ever in these sitautions, and if they get Saddam to sign something, they should enforce it. Also if They want to controll policy, than they should do the fighting, and the paying, the us pays for a vast majority of the UN. The UN is irrelevent, it could be, but they make themselves irrelevent.
If we have the power, why should we share it with you and Europe. We shouldnt, maybe take recomendations, but if you want to controll policy, then get some damn power. Hipocrits, Europeans conquered most the world, and possed opression world wide, so dont preach to us.

There's so many perspectives to this war it's crazy! I can really see all points that are being made, and agree with both sides, and there point. The fact is I think everybody would agree that Saddam doesnt need to in Power, but if you look at around the world 90% of these leaders shouldn't be in power either cuz there jackasses! I don't think President Bush should be in power either (cuz he's an idiot who can't even make a good point to save his life), but I don't see anybody wanting to throw him in jail, or kill him. Just to listen to him talk makes me angry cuz he's a damn broken record when it comes to Iraq, and he doesn't bother explaining the situation, and any good reason as to why were really doing it. That's why theres so many people against this damn war, and there isn't much people siding with him. All I ask of him is to come on T.V, and actually try to convince me as to why it's so important we attack Iraq, and attack it NOW, and maybe he could add a few things in such as Logic, common sense, and some solid proof
.
The thing that really pisses me off is bush keeps saying "they have weapons of mass destruction!" First off, they haven't found anything! Second off, it really pisses me off to hear people say "Of course they got weapons of mass destruction." I find it ironic that these people beleive so STRONGLY in the U.S, but doesn't have faith that the U.S could even find a weapon of mass destruction???? Even if they had WMD I couldn't really blame them (even though there not suppose to have). Can't tell when the U.S is going to try and throw it's weight around....kind of like now
.
Another thing that keeps pissing me off is the whole bin laden thing. They say there together when they have no evidence of this, and it doesn't even seem logical. What ever happened to getting bin Laden first (the real killer), and then going to the next bad man? Just goes to show you how Bush is.
My Final Argument, which I don't think anybody could argue with is North Korea. WHy the **** aren't we attacking these people??? There leaders ****ing nuts...They've said they have nuclear weapons (weapons of mass destruction as Bushy would call em). Think about this logically, and put yourself in Bush's situation. You know North Korea has Weapons, and Iraq you can't find any (could, or couldn't be weapons there)...So, which do you go for first???
When people say this war has nothing to do with oil, just take a look at that situation...Of course it has SOMETHING to do with oil. That may not be the main goal, but of course the U.S is looking at the oil while they'll be there.
