DSL isn't available where I live (the edge of the boonies) Verizon hasn't done what needs to be done in order for the folks in my area to be able to use DSL. (them bums)

Cable internet is available but it cost about $100 just to have it installed then after that it's $50 a month, I'm sure I could afford the $50 but the instalation is what's kicking me in the ass.

EDIT: I did get an offer in the mail once for free instalation and one month half off but when i looked at the fine print I noticed that it expired the day before the damn thing came. (figures)

that sux, wish i could help u. hmmm...if u watch satelite telivision, i think DSL is usually available through that.

$50 a month is STEEP for cable, i think i pay $30-35
and installation was free, i jus had to buy the modem. here we have cox cable

yeah I got satelite but there instalation is even more expensive and the $60 or $65 a month for it.

the boonies suck sometimes.

I'm not going to be here on Sunday. Does anyone want to do the next wave of polls and nomanation threads for me? or would you rather wait untill I get back on Monday?

what needs to be done is to end the current (nicest/kindest poster)poll, pretty much just cingradulate the winner. then the next poll needs to be started (most obsessive poster) with all the nomanies that didn't decline to be included put up to be voted on (set the voting to end in 7 days) and then the next nomination thread needs to be started (most argumentative poster).

or maybe I should start them on Friday (tomorrow) before I leave.

I'd apreciate you input on this folks.

seems easy enough for me, no problem!

I won't be able to start the threads until about 3 PM Pacific time, though.
