hey guys just got back from my cousins wedding where I recorded about 1.5 hours of video. anyway it's very "rough" because I have a cheezy camcorder...I would like to capture it into the computer and do things like cut scenes, move scenes...add fading effects..credits..titles..etc, when I'm done I would like to burn it onto DVD to play in any DVD player.
I have a ATI tv wonder card
and I need software that is SUPER EASY to use, I have NEVER done video editing before EVER!
I also need something to capture the video as well (I currently have PVCR but it's pretty crappy...
btw as usual money is no object ;)
THANKS SO MUCH!
P.S. post is kind of rough because it's 1:00AM and I'm kind of drunk!
Adobe Premiere Pro + After Effects.
I had Adobe Premiere...it sucked...was hard as hell to use :( I need something easier...
thnks bud am going to DL it now errrrrm buy :p
hehe will let you know how it turns out.
only 1 result for it on IRCspy, and I can't find it on the website...new name possibly?
Magix has some fairly easy products to use. Movies to CD & DVD can capture directly from most devices--firewire, PCI capture card, VIVO vid card. Works pretty good with my GF4 Ti 4200 VIVO. Has a nice timeline feature where you can edit almost frame by frame when you zoom all the way in. Pre-made menu templates that you can customize, or you can just build it as direct play. Handy for porting DivX to DVD as well. If you have a CODEC installed, M2CD/DVD can import it directly (as long as the source isn't over 2GB)--even a stripped .vob from a DVD. You can also layer an additional audio track. I nabbed it from Circuit City for $40 over a year ago. Don't know if it's available as warez, but you should be able to grab it pretty cheap on e-bay or pricewatch.
I tried Ulead Movie Factory also, but it was too clunky and the encoded results were HUGE! Magix gives pretty straight forward control over bit-rates and quantization much like the TMPGEnc does (Variable, Quantization Scale, IPB structure--all the usual tricks). It's not the most powerful in the world, but I would rate it as one of the more flexible apps out there.
I got pinnacle studio 9 and when I go to use mpeg (which is best for making a DVD right?) my choices are mpg and avi
anyway, I get this when trying to encode mpg
in order to ensure studio9 has the latest components you must activate MPEG-3 encoding/decoding now. acivation is free, fast and easy
:( I'm stuck already
I used a different program to capture...so far this pinnacle software is golden..EXCEPT i have some things I need to CUT which I haven't figured out how to do yet, like throughout the video when I stopped recording and started again..between that area there is a second or two of fuz vision that I need to remove.
figured it out for the most part, this program is great EXCEPT it goes not responding like every two minutes sometimes:( and some clips just appear...they are black..it's weird!
Sounds like you might need a CPU and/or RAM upgrade.
