upgrading from 3.41 to 3.55 then to geohot cfw3.55.

hi folks..im on 3.41 fw ps3..jailbroken it usb dongle.. now with the recent developments im planning to upgrade my ps3 to ofw 3.55 then to geohot cfw 3.55 for homebrew..but i have a big ques in my mind i have 28 games backed up on my hdd.. so will updating my ps3 to ofw 3.55 format my hdd?????? if not thn will upgrading after tht to geohot 3.55 format it???? in short my ques is will my hdd will be formatted if i upgrade to geohot cfw...
please advice.. any help appriciated..

nah it wont format it, but they'll probably come up as corrupt files, if the ps3 reads them at all ahha. my ipinion would be not to update it , just wait til the 3.55 is fully hacked .. with backup manager .

IT wont be formatted, Its only ever formatted when downgrading or data transferring. But those games you have backed up will remiain unplayable until backups are enabled on 3.55
