hi everyone
im thinking of buying a cheap PS3 off eBay. Only Problem with it is that when you turn it on, it beeps twice and turns off.
i was just wondering, is there a way i can fix this?
maybe by getting to the recovery menu and either Update or repair the database or something?
i am Very Ps3-Hacking Literate so please help me!!

lol if you want to shell out money for a lemon be my guest but if you want my advice... you might as well buy a brand new system
thats why its cheap... but take my word for it... they do have an old saying you get what you paid for....
shell out atleast 250 and you will get a decent system if that is too much for you... then im sorry to say... youre not going to find a quality used ps3
just saying

if its a yellow lite its the same problem as the xbox 360's ring of fire, you could do temporary fixes which last about a week then the system gets hot again and becomes un soldered, my guess is its a 60gb backwards compatible model which are known to do that 80% of the time and even after being sent to sony and they fix it for 150$....within a month it can still break the same exact way. my advice for a cheap ps3: http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=68183 and get to 80$ warrenty if you cheap ass it thats what your going to get cheap ass shit

You need to open it,and then use some thermal paste and an heat fan(don't know how it's said in english).
It is complicated procces and it the PS3 will work from 2 hours-1 month. Really short life span after the fix.
