    Along with alwayshungry.................

If you do a bit of digging around the hack sites, you will find which addresses to block in your router. That should keep you nice and safe.

If I had the info in front of me, I would gladly post it.
I have been to so many places today that I don't recall exactly where the info is.
It is pretty easily findable though.
Will post a link if I can dig one up.

It does require you digging into your router settings, but it's not a hard thing to do.

As posted by Saviour07 over at PS3 news:

    "Playstation Network Ports:

    TCP:
    80, 443, 5223

    UDP:
    3478-3479, 3658

I make no guarantee that these will block FW updates etc. However they are the listed ports which the PSN uses."

These are the ports you should try blocking in your router.
They would be easy enough to unblock if they don't work correctly.

Don't know why I can't find the addresses I saw earlier today. Of course my 40something year old eyes are getting a little tired of staring at a computer screen all day.

    Hope this helps.
I will keep digging to see if I can find more info.

In windows firewall under advanced setting services theres a service thats not there when you setup network connection but when you connect the ps3 it shows up and it looks like this 192.168.0.135:3658 to 3658 (UDP) if I remove the checkmark multiman internet works and the browser but sign in doesn't and also you change the DNS in the ps3 if you want to use only FTP to I think 10.1.1.1 or something! This top part is with rogers dialup internet 115kb/s with network connections on Windows XP!

You wouldn't want to block port 80 or 443. Also, I believe I read it somewhere that if Sony can't make a connection using the default ports it will start opening up random ones until it can make a successful connection (not sure, but I recall reading that somewhere).
