Arrrrrrrr, War is scary. Lives will be lost. One thing I be askin' everybody is to remember that the 300,000 troops of ours over there are NOT just numbers. They are sons, daughters, sister, brothers, aunts, uncles, mothers and fathers. I watched a good friend of mine leave for duty last night. I watched her two son's crying in fear that they would never see their mommy agian. She tried to comfort them and assure them she would return, however the look in her eyes showed that she was just as scared. Her husband, a Gulf War vet, shed tears as well. I've known the man for a long time and had never so much as seen him sniffle. This is the reality of war...so it is.

    *A moment of prayer*

    Dear God,

Protect both side. If war must be, let it be swift. Bestow wisdom to the leaders of both side. If this path is what we must walk, let it the right one.

    Amen

Ok, I'll play. I promised myself that I wouldn't hijack a thread, but maybe this once considering the circumstances.

You are saying if Iraq was the super power and the US had broken its agreement to destroy their weapons of mass destruction and Iraq is invading to remove President Bush. And along the way innocent US citizen was being killed. I am assuming this is the point you are trying to make.
I won't go into why Iraq can not be a super power because of its political/religious structure tend to work against it. But I will make the assumption to bring validity to your argument. So, back to your question: Would I feel differently if it was the other way around? The answer is 'Yes' (I bet that was a shocker). No country-men likes to have their country invaded by a foreign power, especially if innocent people are going to be killed. However, there is a difference between being a good person and being a good citizen. The good person says that any innocent death is unacceptable. The good citizen accepts the death of innocent for the greater good. In other times, there is a balancing act between being a good person and good citizen. But in times of war, good person must give way to good citizen.

And no, I will not debate with you on whether President Bush is making the correct choices on this thread.
