stupid computer power supply question

as I may have mentioned before I am buliding a cheap ass computer so I can use my good one fo important stuff and use the cheap one for every day stuff (not going into more detail than that so dont ask)

here is my question

how do I know what if it will work in my USA outlet instead of euro? is there differint ones for US and Europe?

yes their is a difference in voltage you may have to buy an converter or even a adapter to plug it into the wall socket itself. what are you trying to get? pal to nstc or vice versa?

I've noticed that some power supplies have this little toggle switch on the back that you can change from 115v to 220v, so that could be the answer.

here in europe we use 220V, But it is standard on all powersuply to have the 220V-110V switch. Dont you have it over there?

nope just 120 outlets standard and higher ones for things like washing machines

edit:oww I misunderstood from what ve been looking at latley most can use both

yeah there should be a 220v or 120v switch on the back of the powersupply

A lot of new washing machines and dryers can run on 110 now.

Much more difference between both of them , you will get an optional power setting back of your SMPS, If not buy a power redicuer.
