i got banned from ps2 ownz by their gay admin because i told him off for being such a dumbass, that site should be brought down, hang the commi bastard.

the reason i told him off is because i posted a swap magic question in the swap magic forum but his dumbass failed to read and comprehend the question, he thought it was for something else and made a 'holier than thou' post.

here's what i wrote and i'd still like an answer if anyone's done this. is it possible to use the swap magic cd to boot a copied codebreaker cd, load the cheats, start the game(my codebreaker copy has auto-eject), put in the swap magic dvd then finally use a flip top/slide card or whatever to put in a copied dvd and play? all those swaps are a headache but the main concern is will that work right?

i had this sort of answered by a guy on ps2 ownz that said have to use cdloader after swap magic cd to get the code breaker cd to work but i'm not really sure how that'd work. any one that's tried this or know's of a way to make that work please message me.

Heh, thanks for the shout out. i still find it amusing and annoying though that i posted my question in a "swap magic" specific forum and as you can see, it is clearly without a shadow of a doubt, a swap magic question.

oh well, i'm just curious if swap magic will work that way.. got a few friends interested. personally, i just ordered another ps2 from gamestop (come's with a game for $150) and a magic 5. first system i got from gamestop died the other day, had a lame magic 3.1 which overheated and smoked the bios, was right at the end of final fantasy x also. that really pissed me off to say the least, oh well though got another ps2 on the way with a magic 5, haven't really heard anything bad about magic 5's, just moron's that have never soldered before having troubles trying to get it installed . having a moron that has never soldered before install his own mod chip is like giving a gun to a ghetto punk kid, shit's gonna go down, things are gonna break

dude, that site is retarded, plenty of people know it, and the owner is a total jackass. this is hardly anything new, but at least you realized there was a better place.

In theory that should work but I'm not sure it would be worth the wear & tear on your laser. My advice is to quit dumping money into a half-assed swap-based solution and a have a real modchip installed. It will save you a ton of headaches and prolong the life of your console.

definitely agreed, those two swaps, then your game will kill the laser... I would check out Premods for a fast, affordable, and reliable installs. Good Luck

i am putting a magic 5 in mine, i have no problem with normal modchips, i have some friends though that don't want a mod chip for one reason or another and wanted to know about the swap magic stuff... my last ps2 as i stated before was a v7 with a magic 3.1 it died last sunday from overheating and cooking the bios. i ordered another ps2 and this time i'm putting a magic 5 in it as to i haven't really heard anything bad about the magic 5's.

i've taken quite a few electronic's and soldering courses in college in the past 2 years, when i put in the magic 3.1 in the now dead ps2 it wasn't hard at all, the install of the magic 5 seems easier to me.

actually a mod does more damage but it take's a longgggggggggggggggggg time to kick in i prefer the swap disc's for this reason but im a lazy cow so i use mod's for the simplicity and ease.

sigh do i really need to tieger.

simple answer the swap disc's do not force voltage on the ps2 mods do so in the long run the swap disc will out last a modchip the ps2 is always in it's original state using slide card's and such does do damage tho using the lids and discs on there own are fine.
