For the Stargate SG1 fans

i have been following these series on and off, I see some of the episodes. Not much time.

I have one question:

I one of the episodes, I saw Dr. Jackson die from radiation poisoning. Now I am seeing the preview of an all new episode and he is still alive. How is that?

by the way I saw said episode and preview on the Sci Fi channel

Yeah he was kinda like a god or something. Screwed up some how with the ppl who gave him these powers. So they took away his powers and his memory. Pretty much what Guichi said. There going to have so kinda racing on friday's new episode.

yeh, what Dew-it said, it was weird, I just finished watching an episode (the one with the lil glowing mosquitos that go through metal)

Hey,

After years of owning the Stargate DVD, I finally watched it. I thought it was really cool. I thought it was a decent concept. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the show, but I'd still like to check it out. Does anyone know where to get the old series? I've heard it refered to as a "Poor mans Star Wars" but thought I'd like to figure that one out for myself. I did notice that there is a new series now... have to check it out.

A sequel to the film is being considered, but it would only be made after the T.V. series has ended.

Stargate SG1 is pretty good.

The premise of the show is that they want to find advanced weapons so they can destroy an emeny. The blow lots of stuff up and kill people.

Daniel Jackson was dying from raidiation. So Oma Desaala one of the ancients (The people who built the stargates) helped him to ascend (become like a god). But although you have all the power in the world you can't actually do anything with it, you cannot interfere as an ascended being. Jackson tried to help a world that was being destroyed so he was forecfully unascended. Thus he's back at SG1.

Personally I think he left the show for one season cause he thinks he's a star got no work so asked to come back.

I think Micheal Shanks who plays Daniel Jackson probably thought his character was'nt going anywhere's and wanted some time off to try some other acting career. Like s_t said. I enjoy this show. Tremors is questionable.

ha - we only just had that episode here in Oz - the big question is - he ascended - right I can handle that - turned into energy and left his decaying radiation effected body behind....

But if he is forceably unascended - what the hell does he do for a body?? as a being of pure energy - he no longer had a body and could not be just taking the form if he no longer had the powers...

that is another question like what happens when you get to the edge of the universe...
