Dear Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.,

I know you visit this forum so I created this thread in the name of the scene.
We would like to tell you that you have finally won.
We will never ever try cracking the PS3 or creating backups etc.
You are just too forceful so we raise the white flag.
This means you can use the old keys (from 3.55) again because the new algorythm affects the PS3 system's performance badly.
There is no need to use any further security improvements as we will not modify it anymore - as promised.

I TOTALLY agree with FakeNicker..........
it is just a Shame to run Geohot to the courts.....or blackmailing everyone else who wants to mod ps3.......sony acts like DICTATOR....!!!!
i will never buy a sony device again......either it is a sony battery or a sony tv......!!!
i am so glad they are going down financially all 4 years now and they are going to be with the back at the wall in a while cause they are not going to handle such a huge dept they have as a company.....and i hope they close their "little shop" one day.............

While it is true that Sony could be watching us daily, I doubt they have any intentions of putting that on hold. And as for your words representing the whole PSX scene

The scene isn't going anywhere, which can be viewed as a good or bad thing depending on what context you put it into.

I will say this - nobody speaks for me and the only people I see making any kind of sense are Goku1992, triple h, and tthousand. I and many others will always modify the electronics that we own. I've modified my iPod, wireless router, DVR, XBox, PS2, PS3, PSP, built a custom gaming PC from the ground up, and anything else that I get my hands on will be modified. I'm sorry that you and soulreaver don't like the current state of things but that's life. Maybe your time would be better spent on something else other than complaining about something that you have no control over.

i want to ask you my friend.....is that a principle that you follow during each statement and problem you face in your life??
Cause this is not a behavior that a man must have during his life while facing problems....."life is a long fight" and if you just accept things as you said either important....either silly things like playing video games.......you are borned and grew up as a Loser.....!!!

Fighting for something you believe in is all good, but aren't there more important things in life than the PS3-Scene?

I'm 32, so far from a child and yes, you need to fight for what you believe in and I would agree with you if this was truly a fight for your beliefs. If it was none of this would be posted here. It would be sent directly to Sony signed with your real names. That's what men do if they believe in something strong enough to fight for it. They do something about it instead of whining in a place that will never see anything become of those complaints. At no point was I disrespectful but if anybody had any balls like real men do they would take their complaints to the source

Honestly I dont see what the problem is here I mean we can still play the newer games (well most of them) but the fact of the matter is this whether you like it or not you have to pay money to play the newer games either Tb, Jbusb2 or Sony. It's not that serious we can play newer games either put up and buy the dongle or shut up and sell your ps3 if you dislike Sony so much. this is the scene now if you don't like it nobody is telling you to stay you can just leave <3
