The other day I was eating McDonald's with my family and I got a styrofoam large cup. When I was done with my food I had to wait and watch my little siblings as they played. I was just messing the the cup, twirling it in circles, but then I noticed something. Crumbs were being attracted to the lower portion of the cup. Like it was some magnetic force pulling the crumbs onto the cup. But how???The cup just had ice and the crumbs were just from a McChicken. You would have the cup in one hand and a crumb in the other and just have it close to the cup and it'll pick it up. Then if you give it a light touch (some times no touch at all) it would react to it and "jump up" and stick back to the cup. I tested it over and over again and was still getting the same result. Think of it as having a "cricket" magnet and a real small metal object. Get close to it with the magnet (but not to close) and it would move away from it. Move it closer and boom it sticks to the magnet.
This is just something that caught my attention while I was waiting. Any one want to inform me how this happens:? Or did I discover a magical secret
