But why specifically PS3? Couldn't the same features be used on a x360 as it accepts connecting to a DLNA server also? I mean, I can access my PlayOn server from either my PS3 or my x360's. Something tells me that the writer of the original article didn't know to ask that type of question.

From what I get from the article is that this is still the same software you install on a computer that creates a DLNA server on your network that shares out web content to whatever type of device can connect to it. Am I reading it wrong?

Edit: Scratch that. I see that they actually released a PS3 app to connect to the Orb server which is asinine as you can connect to the server without the PS3 app.

Anyhow as i have said before, i may not like the site being sold, i might not like the fact that xiaNiax rage guit, without having they decency to show his staff some respect and notify them that this would be happening, but its none of my business.

IMO, insults only exist in the mind of the "insultee". They're only bad because we think that it's bad, it's like that old HSBC advert where it shows how different cultures interpret things differently.

Its always going to be the community that runs a site like this NO COMMUNITY no site simple!

I have been a member more or less since day dot, and did feel rather insulted the thread was closed i posted it was a genuine post with no malace, it was in the correct forum, as is this off topic, i was going to add i hope the new owners have the same ethics as the original guys, but it seems not which would be a HUGE shame, Admins and Mods should be here to keep things friendly and family orientated and troll free, as we all know plenty of kids peruse the forums and thats all they should do, not be some dictator style power hungry egomaniacs nothing social in that, it just spoils the enjoyment of forums like this.
i really do hope thats not the way this forum goes and stays in the spirit of its original intentions.

anyways its the internet, not real life as many treat it, so its no big hoo haa but its still a good place to come for the latest information hope it stays that way.

Yeah bad timing on the transfer right during the E3 conference.

Personally I like tropical islands better, been on one since middle of Jan. but nothing to due because of Sony or geohot, just because I like it here, and I got business here, and Canada is ****ing cold and costly.
