Should I just buy an Xbox 360 to do game backing up?

Its easier, every game works. It works as opposed to the ps3....
Will there ever be a ps3 backup manager that works for every game? (on 3.55)
you mean to do your (cough) bootlegs of course but dude seriously i hate when people call it backups

Don't buy a 360, if you do then find someone who can flash it to the newest firmware. You can't play the newest games because they have AP2.5, new games like AC Brotherhood or Need for Speed won't work.
Oh, you're gonna JTAG your 360? You have the tools for that? and even if you do that, the home-brew on the 360 isn't very impressive.
And if you're talking about flashing the DVD drive, and you buy a new 360, you're gonna need a lite-on probe.
After you're done flashing the drive, for every game you're gonna need to burn. Takes 40 minutes at 2.4x, and discs typically cost 1 dollar.
Trust me, I own a 360. I modded the firmware the second I got the thing, and every time there's an update I have to reopen the damn thing just to update the firmware. And, because I have friends, now I have to occasionally flash theirs too. And since one of them has a lite-on drive, I had to buy a probe just for that.
The 360 was a great piracy machine before the PS3 hacks were available.. but now that they are, the PS3 just dominates the 360. Buy a 1TB HDD ($80), transfer games directly to the HDD (free), fit up to 260 games (free), install .pkgs to play said games, and done. That's just 80 dollars spent. The 360? I have about 100 games burned for that, and at a dollar a disc that is already 100 dollars spent. And the 360 isn't dead yet, so more games will come out, and more money I have to spend.
I'm not saying don't get a 360. If you want to, that's your choice. I'm just annoyed that you're implying that's easier and possibly cheaper and better route to go, when simply that's not true.
I was going to buy a 360 slim a few days ago until I realized how they nickel and dimed you to death on everything (don't even get me started on the 360 fats). Want to replace the hard drive with a bigger one? Oh you have to buy special ones in special enclosures $$$, XBox Live $$$, etc etc.
Then I started looking at the 360 and PS3 sites on IGN comparing the top rated games. As far as exclusive titles go, only the PS3 has any that I'm remotely interested in playing.
Seriously, just wait a few more weeks and I bet you backup managers will be working again.
