Sega Genesis & NES BASIC Compiler
Sega Genesis & NES BASIC Compiler –
I just thought that I would tell everyone that there is a BASIC compiler for the Sega Genesis & NES. These BASIC Compilers are as follows:
BasiEgaXorz is a freeware BASIC Compiler for Windows 95+ which enables people to write Sega Genesis (& even Sega CD) games instead of using assembly language. BasiEgaXorz comes with the compiler & IDE. You write your game using this program & it is compiled to a Genesis binary using the SNASM 68K assembler.
You can download BasiEgaXorz from http://devster.retrodev.com/sega/basiegaxorz/ . You will also need the SNASM 68K assembler (you can't compile your programs without this) at http://www.zophar.net/utilities/genesisdev.html . Currently, there are 2 homebrew games written using BasiEgaXorz & they are Galaxian clone ( http://devster.retrodev.com/segapage.html ) & Crazybus ( http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-ind...?page=CrazyBus )
NBASIC is a freeware BASIC Compiler OSX, Windows & Linux X86 which enables people to write NES games instead of using assembly language. You can download this program from http://www.bobrost.com/nes/resources.php .
Since we the Sega Genesis emulator called PGEN for PS2 & the NES Emulator called IMBNES for PS1, I thought that some people might want to use these tools cause you could write/port (as in porting games written in BASIC) games which you can play on your emulators.
