The Scene is Dying

Before you go ahead and play the 1337 mini mod and reply how you're sick of n00bs complaining, well, **** you. I read that a lot of people that claim the scene is dead and before I thought what most of you probably think: "**** them, they are idiots for updating when they were told not to." Now, I'm starting to see the light. Before you go and act all high and mighty on your 3.55 and tell me how much of an idiot I am for updating, don't waste your time because I'm also on 3.55. I just feel for the people that talk about a 3.56+ cfw and get flamed by our so called "community" for doing so. Now, the scene is dying because of the fact that homebrew and CFW can't expand to all the people outside 3.55. Are all of them idiots for updating? No, just because people are on 3.56+ doesn't necessarily mean they updated "like idiots." People that buy PS3's now[unless you Ebay] are faced with 3.56+ consoles. Are we ****ing n00bs because we ask for CFW? Are we ungrateful assholes because we wish for CFW? If you're a scene whore and immediately jump when you hear 3.60 CFW and call us all idiots for "updating" wake up because that isn't always the case.

tldr: The scene will die if it can't expand outside our little 3.55 circle. It's been what, 6 months since 3.55? Whatever happened to Mathieu's buffer exploit? We hear about all these breakthroughs but there is no real progress mostly because devs feel there is no need for a 3.55 cfw is good enough. The problem with that is what about the people that buy their PS3's two, three months from now with 3.70 ofw? This is what is really hurting the scene.

I hate people like this...who themselfs have never contributed to anything to the scene and then still have the courage to stand up and scream bloody murder while everything they had till this day was just because of free sharing spirit.
I say leave and good riddens and while you head to the door please stfu and keep your opinions to yourself, nobody wants your doom thinking negativity in here. If it was true i would give you a bit credit but, its not even true...maybe your head was in the ground or up your ass i dont know but i have seen and read allot of progress the last couple of weeks...and the future is even brighter then ever for the scene.

all i have to say is this site is new . they are working on the kinks and errors so be more patient. also only thing is dead right now is the newer custom firmware /new jailbreak development .

This site is new? It has been around since 2002, and maybe before. Although we did have a recent change of ownership, and merging with PSGoove recently, this is still one of the oldest and most trusted scene sites

Well, it's people like you that I hate. This is a forum, I'm entitled to my opinion regardless if it coincides with yours or not. If you don't like what I have to say, then what exactly are you doing replying? You just proved me right: Somebody points out the lack of a CFW for FW X and you feel it's your civic duty to lash out like a stray dog at food. What a "community", eh? I don't have to contribute to give my input and I wont "keep my opinion to myself", it's a PS3 Discussion, after all. Don't feel like discussing? Then it is you who needs to stfu. If you honestly believe there has been real significant progress, you're delusional. We read that so and so has dumped this or have exploits up their sleeves but what good is it if devs feel "3.55 is already sufficient." WRONG. Like I said, what about the people two, three months from now that will be stuck with 3.70 CFW? The scene WILL die at it's current rate if it can't expand outside our little box and keeps it's "No 3.55 CFW? Tough Tits" mentality.

Again, I'm not whining, I'm simply giving my opinion on the scenes future. If you feel like banning someone who voices their opinion, you wouldn't make a very good moderator. So yes, I pray you never become one. Frankly, I don't care how many years you have been on this site as your seniority doesn't make your opinion absolute. and Again, no one has to contribute a single thing to give their input on something. As for locking this thread, I'll go ahead and message a moderator to do so as trying to initiate a discussion on this forum, was clearly a mistake.
