i have been looking around google and seen values of different bonds other than for the ones i have in hand right now. i need help in finding the cash value of the A series bonds that was issued in 1945. all i can find is series e,ee,h,i bonds but nothing on series A. any help would be much appreciated. hows that for an off-topic dissuction:D
The government borrowed a total of $3.9 billion through the issue of Series A through D savings bonds. Treasury will still make good whenever they are presented for redemption at any financial institution in the U.S. that cashes savings bonds. These bonds are worth face value when cashed. Interest on bonds issued March 1935 through February 1941 is not taxable.
i seen that but the banks around here told me they dont deal with them. where else could i go to cash them in. i was told the federal reserve bank , is that the only place?
