I was working on a song just now and I wanted to throw a sample out to see where I'm at. Nothing fancy, just a test. Let me know what you think. (sounds best with headphones.)

I like the beat. What did you use to create it? (Reason, FL Studio, etc.)
I also make beats. I have about 350+ as of right now. I am too scared to let others hear for now. It takes a lot of balls to let others hear what you have.
I won't release anything until I have 1000 or more under my belt.
Keep at it buddy!
That's not bad... How long you been mixing?
I've been doing it for about 15 years, going back to so OLD SCHOOL mixes...
DJ
500 INSTALLS DONEI collaborated with a bud for the beat. I think It was with an MPC, some samples and a MIDI keyboard. I thought it sounded sick so I thought I'd rap to it with the equipment I have.
Yeah I know what you mean. I feel the same way to but I was like, meh, it's not even finished so... why not.
Thanks man. Hope to hear some stuff from you soon.
For about 6 years now I think. It's been something I been wanting to do ever since I was 8 years old. Sometime about 5 years ago I decided to go out and buy myself some gear, one piece at a time. I currently have the following:
1. A rode nt1a mic
2. An m-audio 192 bit soundcard
3. SONAR 8 By Cakewalk
4. A Pro Oval Studio Mic Cable
5. mic stand with pop filter
6. ART Digital MPA Tube Microphone Preamplifier
7. PreSonus HP4 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier
8. BBE MaxCom Dual Channel Compressor Limiter Gate
9. Roominators Project 2 acoustic sound control kit

My problem is that I'm not that great at change-ups. I can throw down a cool beat every once in a while, but it gets stagnant. Also, I suck with a drum machine. Everything I make sounds cookie-cutter, so I usually use a pre-made drum loop.
I've been teaching myself piano for the last year or so to try and make my stuff sound more realistic.
I think I'm inspired to upload a song. I'll get one together here in a few minutes and upload it.
I don't have any songs that are 100% complete yet, so they ALL need a lot of work.
EDIT:
On second thought, I'm still pussy to release anything to the public. I'll PM you a link here in a second PuppetMaster.
I really liked the sound of that.
I use FLStudio 9, and its a lot of fun. (I still haven't produced anything that I'm super thrilled with, but here's hoping!)

Wow dude that was a sick beat!
Cept I think I would of liked it even more without the testing 1 2 testing ...
