Region Change/Unlock?

Howdy everyone.

I have an awesome DVD boxset that I'm not able to watch due to it being a different region than the PS3. Is there a way I can change/unlock region settings on PS3? Possibly through the CFW if there is any software available for something like this? Copying, unlocking region and burning to a disc isn't the best option. The boxset is 9 discs. x_x

Through debug firmware or changing things in xRegistry.sys in /dev_flash2 I think. Theres a tool so you can edit the xRegistry very easy.

i tired..but epic fail..all i could do is change the button layout of the ps3...i tried changing the region from 00000001,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9....lol no luck..same problem...but when i put it to 9(supp to become region free) it tells me cannot play disc...with the others i get you are on the wrong region! -.-

A quick fix (not what you wanted I know) just copy the dvd with any decent ripper (dvd shrink is freeware, and changes all to region free) , bung them on writable dvd's ..
