Also, there have been many threads posted in forums that have nothing to do with the topics covered by that particular forum. Be sure you are posting in the appropriate forum or your thread may be deleted without notice.

Because of the massive amount of traffic to the site, if these rules are not strictly followed you may find your thread deleted or in worst case, your account banned.

You're going to ban new people who make innocent mistakes, like posting in wrong threads/forums and stuff?? the last time I checked the URL Bar at the top of my screen it said psx-scene.com, not ps2moanz.

I think it's more like a dog who barks, but doesn't bite..I don't really think they'd get banned for that, but if you tell people YOU MAY GET BANNED they'll try harder to not make the mistake.....

i agree it's harsh maybe a a warning system 3 strikes your or an introduction forum or a forum just for newbs that locks out other forums to stop rampant post's just a idea

Do you really think we are being mean by just telling people to search the damn boards before posting anything? From a webmasters perspective, do you have any idea how silly you sound saying this? The boards have been bombarded with over 120 people at any given time during the day. If you notice, n00bs are posting more and more and are posting the same things over and over. Its just like any other rules in another place, if you cant follow simple directions then how far do you think your going to get? Why cant they simply read some of the existing topics to come up with the answers or their own conclusions?

If you take a test and they tell you to use a #2 pencil and instead you use a pen? Do you think they are going to grade your test by hand along with all of the others that couldnt follow simple directions?

Its simple, we cant police the place everyday and neither can the members that are nice enough to give a few minutes of their time to help others by answering the same questions over and over again. NONE of us here are paid technical support personel.

Running a daily NEWS site with over 40,000 registered users can become quite time-consuming indeed, so today we would like to review some current issues with our visitors to save everyone some of this precious time:

I just don't want to see my favorite site turn into my least favorite site.

no its not, if you cant even remotely read the description of a forum then you have no business posting in the first place. we arent saying that we are going to ban people on their first offense but there are some people that have been posting as of late alot of stuff thats been posted before,cross posting and posting in non related sections and its getting out of control. simply put, we arent anyones babysitters.

it just boils down to a simple conclusion. if you cant follow the rules or even bother to read them then go somewhere else.
