question for star wars fans....

ok guys......call me wat u want,.....but i havent really seen much of star wars ...


now,.....i watched phantom menace back in 1999, but i didnt really look into the star wars thing then.....

now that episode 3 has come out...i have decided to watch the entire collection....

but then came the confusion....i was looking up the names, and saw that the first star wars that came out in 1977 was episode 4, when logically it should be episode 1 :P.....then i got to find out that episodes 1,2, and 3 are actually a 'prequel' to the first set of movies, episodes 4,5 and 6.........

plz tell if i am wrong anywhere, cuz i hardly know anything about star wars :P

so my question is........

in which sequence should i watch the movies ?

1,2,3,4,5,6 or 4,5,6,1,2,3.....or any other combination .....

the correct way would be to watch the new ones first then the old one's maybe mr lucas will remake the old ones who knows it would be nice.

but where do they explain all the stuff like, what are jedis, whats the galactic spaceship, or the republic ?? what are siths are darths ?? are all these terms explained in the first star wars movie(episode 4) or the 'actual' start of star wars (episode 1) ???

episode 1/2/3 are what you want...these will explain to you what a jedi is or a sith is.... I saw episode 1/2 first then I got interested and went back to watch 4/5/6 (1977-83)... then back to 1/2 (1999-02) and it all make much better sense again...I think it's best to watch the old one first...just because they were made first...then go and watch the recent one and you'll will get many "oh" and "ah"....trust me...it's best this way too because watching too much of the new one can ruin the special effects of the old one...

To be honest I'd only watch 4,5,6. And I'd forget The Phantom Menace very soon. It was a big disapointment for me, and to be honest no matter how big fan of Star Wars I have been, that part was very lame.

It's 4-5-6-1-2-3.

4, 5 and 6 were made first and meant to be watched first. Once you watch them and watch 1-2-3, you will understand many underlying things they do not stress that much. And once you see 4-5-6, you will see why it was such a cult movie.
