psx scene and psgroove merging

as title says i hope it doesnt wreck psgroove in anyway this is the best up to date website and less nobbs please dont wreck it
dont get me wrong psx-scene is a good site but i love the layout and response of psgroove thats what
makes this a exellent site



Big News! PSGroove merging into PSX!

After much deliberation and listening to all of the feedback we have received from the PSX community we have decided NOT to merge PSX with QJ. Instead we purchased PSGroove.com and we are going to merge PSG into PSX! PSGroove has built quite an excellent reputation for itself in the PS news community and we are very excited that we have an opportunity to join forces with them. We will be merging their forums into PSX forums and their front page for news will become our (PSX) front page for news. Joe the creator of PSGroove AKA Grandy will be staying on to continue to write the PS news as it happens and remain active in our forums. So what will change? The PSX forums will remain relatively unchanged save for being upgraded to VB 4, some very VERY slight layout tweaks, and have ads again but not as many as before. And the PSX home page will look a lot more like what is on PSGroove and you will be able to get to it simply by typing PSX-SCENE.COM and the forums will remain at PSX-SCENE.COM/FORUMS. This is exciting news merging these two powerhouses but it wont happen over night. We are working away as hard as we can to make this happen as soon as we can. I will post more info as soon as its available.

Fair pay for the merger but I liked the idea you could go to two different sites for independent news. I just hope that it doesn't get super crazy with adds like it does on psx scene. I don't mind adds but over there it's come to the point where they are a real nuisance.

Guys, guys, relax, everything will be A-OK. THe site is going to be the same, layouts, looks, everything. Our Member group is just going to become bigger. Grandy, blaize, myself and all the other mods will be here as usual to help each other out. I know it may seem a bit odd now but this will only benefit us all in the end. More members means:
1.Faster response to questions asked on forums
2.Bigger group of people with a lot more knowledge, so a question not being answered..not matter how hard it is...will be almost impossible.
3.More Mods to help you out and to control spammers and update news faster.

Can you imagine? Yes, Psx-scene's layouts and design may not be excellent but like it or not, they are one of the top ps3-scene sites around. And a merging of these two superb sites into one big happy family will take us to the TOP.

Come on guys, give it a chance...you won't know if its good or not without actually trying it, can you? If everyone does their part then there is no chance of us not becoming the BEST site out there. And all the Mods and members on psx-scene are very friendly and patient people. We'll get along just fine, I will do my best to make sure there is no uncooth behavior amongst members, but i can't do it alone...i too need help from you guys.

Very well said perspex. Give it a chance and you will see that we will continue publishing news and grandy, perspex and the other mods are continuing in their current functions. The layout is going to stay basically the same and there should be no major differences other than even more mods, more news and more members. We hope you stick around and give this a shot.

Trust me guys, if this was going to ruin psgroove.com I wouldn't have agreed to it. I put a lot of thought into the merger before pulling the trigger. We're going to get the best of both worlds here. PSX-Scene's expansive forums and PSGroove's up to date and well written news.
