final fantasy x, and also its not a real rpg but it is an action adventure game you might would like kingdom hearts, and xenosaga.

Huge RPG fan here. I'll list a game with my opinion, not in any particular order. I'll keep it short, no big review or anything just a quick rating.

Final Fantasy X - Not the best Final fantasy IMO, but still a great one. A lot of people say the voice acting is crap, but It's fine to me. 85/100

Dark Cloud 2 - Nevered played the first one, but the game is really innovative. The battle system is similair to kingdom heart. 70/100

Wild Arms 3 - Was a huge fan of this series, although the changed into cel shading sort of made it hard for me to like. Overall its an average game. Also has one of the worst endings IMO. Don't recomend unless your a fan. 75/100

Suikoden 3 - Even a bigger fan of this series. The graphics is all 3D now, the last two was sprite, which I think is better. So the change was kinda iffy for me. The battle system was worst, dealing with a buddy system. The war battle system was also bad too. I also don't recomend unless your a fan. 80/100

Xenosaga - Some say its more of a movie, cause throughout the games there're tons of cutscene, so if you like a good story, this is really good, but if you just want to go around killing stuff in your robot, it can be quite annoying. 85/100

Kingdom Hearts - Great game, don't let the disney characters fool you. If your a huge Final fantasy fan you'll probably like this one, with lots of returning characters. 90/100

Star Ocean: Until the end of time - The game starts off really good, but everything seems to slow down later in the game. Overall a pretty good game. 80/100

Strategy RPG:
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - Out of the three, I think this is the best. Great Comedic relief from the same old save the world theme. 85/100

La Pucelle Tactics - Almost the same battle system as Disgaea. The story is amusing if your into the whole cute anime thing. Which I am ^_^. 75/100

Phantom Brave - The free roaming system, although new, doesn't do quite much. The story is more serious and depressing than the other two, but heart warming too. Get this only if you liked Disgaea enough. 80/100

Final Fantasy XI - If you want to play on the ps2 you need to buy the package that comes with the hard drive and the network adaptor. Also your gonna need about 4+ hours of free time everyday. This is a very very time comsuming game because it is a MMO. Unless you have a lot of time, don't bother with it as it'll take forever to get anywhere. I only played for 2 months, and quit after that. The time required is just too much. Most of the time, if you want to join a party, they're gonna want you to stay for at least 2 hours, and you MUST have a party. Soloing is incrediably slow. Its a really good game, if you have the time. 70/100

Heres the top three I recommend, in order, if you haven't play too much RPGs.

i played almost every RPG there is on the ps1...and not alot on the ps2...im a huge rpg fan...i just wanted to know what are some good ones that you guys recommend for me to paly...

you will love it that was the sequel to the ps2 xenosaga. the story line is deep so pay close attention to the beginning because it will make the ending alot easier to understand. try zenogears first and have fun.
